Marwyn Value Investors Ltd (LSE:MVI) was among the funds managed by Marwyn Investment Management to have made a collective £5 million follow-on investment into posh wellington bootmaker Le Chameau.
The funds, which were injected via a vehicle called Silvercloud Holdings that holds the investment, are principally intended to enable to support the next phase of Le Chameau's expansion plans, the investment group said.
James Corsellis, Marwyn's chief investment officer, said: "Following growth over the last three years, we are delighted to be able support Le Chameau's expansion plans looking forward to its centenary year in 2027."
In April's results statement, MVI said the premium footwear business has "made significant strides since 2019" and aims to focus on expanding its direct-to-consumer online business and increasing its addressable customer base to capitalise on the long-term growth prospects of the premium outdoor market. At the time, it said the company was looking to proceed cautiously in the market.
