Bens Creek Group PLC (AIM:BEN, OTC:BENCF), the coal mining company, said its high wall miner will recommence its operations on 26 August 2023.
Having suffered a mining incident in June, the machine was temporarily removed so repairs and re-establishment could take place but will now be re-instated into the North American project over the coming month.
In a statement, the company said management is confident orders will be fulfilled and noted that apart from a reduction in production and the fixing of the machine, no additional costs have been incurred.
Adam Wilson, chief executive officer of Bens Creek, said: "We are delighted that HWM 81 (wall miner) will be returning to operations later this month on schedule. We remain confident that we will meet our production targets and fulfil all our orders."
Shares in Bens Creek are up more than 10% in the last month and opened on Monday at around 13.5p.
