Greatland Gold eyeing new resource estimate for Havieron by year-end

Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) has noted the latest update from partner Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX:NCM) about Havieron that states the main decline or access shaft is now at 1,840 metres (m) with progress helped by improved ground conditions.

Shaun Day, Greatland’s managing director, added that it hopes to publish an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) during the final quarter of 2023.

“We are working towards the publication of an updated MRE, which will incorporate data from a further 80,000 metres of growth drilling at Havieron since our March 2022 MRE update."

He added: "The underground development at Havieron is making good progress as we continue to advance to the top of the orebody.”

Havieron is a 30/70 joint venture between Greatland and Newcrest in the Paterson region of Western Australia, targeting gold and copper.
