Global Energy Metals partner Kingsrose Mining identifies promising conductive zones at Råna nickel-copper-cobalt project

Global Energy Metals Corp (TSX-V:GEMC) (GEMC) said its partner Kingsrose Mining Limited has identified strong conductive zones at the Rånbogen prospect at the Råna nickel-copper-cobalt project in Norway.

GEMC has a carried interest in all exploration expenditures conducted at Råna as part of its joint venture partnership with Kingsrose to advance the project which was announced by the company in January 2023.

The company said magnetotelluric (SPARTAN MT) geophysical surveys carried out at the Rånbogen prospect modelled four discrete, strong apparent conductivity anomalies over a strike length of 1.8 kilometres.

“Three of the four conductive bodies identified from the SPARTAN MT data are coincident with mineralized massive to disseminated sulphide rock chip samples at surface and all four conductive bodies are hosted within, or at the base of, the intrusion, spatially associated with peridotite and pyroxenite units,” Kingsrose head of exploration Andrew Tunningley commented.

“These targets are therefore highly prospective, with limited historical drilling that intercepted broad zones of disseminated mineralization near surface and higher grade, narrow sub-intervals associated with massive sulphide.”

GEMC said ground-based and downhole electromagnetic surveys are now in progress at the prospect to assist with drill targeting.

A drill rig will be switched to a helicopter portable system in early August and transferred from the Bruvann Mine area to Rånbogen to test these conductive targets.

GEMC offers investment exposure to the growing rechargeable battery and electric vehicle market by building a diversified global portfolio of exploration and growth-stage battery mineral assets.
