Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk continued to spar online this weekend over the idea — supposedly a joke — of the two billionaire social media bosses squaring off in a cage match.
Musk tweeted (Xeeted?) Sunday, “Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on ????. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.”

Zuckerberg fired back on Threads, Meta’s Twitter clone that gained popularity as users fled the Musk-run platform.
“Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”
He continued, “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug.,26 when [Musk] first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”
Musk, who owns X and is CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, continued to posture in kind, saying he may require surgery prior to the fight.

This odd dance all began when Musk replied to a Twitter thread that referenced Zuckerberg’s practicing ju-jitsu with, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”
The same day, Zuckerberg posted an Instagram story that read, “Send Me Location.”
Zuckerberg, 39, has competed in Brazilian Ju Jitsu events, taking the gold medal in the Nogi Master 1 White Belt Feather Weight Division and the Silver medal in the Gi Master 2 White Belt Feather Weight Division at a tournament in California earlier this year.
Musk, 52, tweeted, “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing,” in June.
For now, the two unlikely combatants are still circling the ring.
