Gowest Gold Ltd (TSX-V:GWA) president and CEO Dan Gagnon discusses the company's focus on developing the Bradshaw Gold Deposit, situated 42 kilometers from Timmins, Ontario, within the prolific gold-rich Greenstone belts.
With 120 square kilometers of geological potential, Gowest aims to expand its resource base through exploration efforts that began in June. Gagnon told Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that the company has made good progress, including with its recently-launched diamond drilling exploration program, which was initiated in June by Orbit Garant Drilling, one of Canada’s largest drilling contractors.
The company successfully raised $35 million to restart mining operations and plans to start toll milling its ore at the Redstone Mill in the fourth quarter of this year.
Gagnon emphasized Gowest's commitment to building a safe, low-cost mine, projecting an annual yield of 100,000 ounces over the next three years.
The company's objective includes doubling or even tripling the current resource base to extend the mine's lifespan beyond its current seven-year estimate.
