Avricore Health (TSX-V:AVCR, OTC:AVCRF) Inc.'s HealthTab, a leading pharmacy-based platform for testing and health data management, has been chosen for a feasibility study in UK community pharmacies.
As a collaborative effort involving Barts Heart Centre and HEART UK, internationally renowned institutions in the field of cardiovascular care, the study seeks to evaluate overall cardiovascular risk and expand the clinical services offered by community pharmacies.
The aim of the feasibility study is to assess the potential of community pharmacists in the UK to complement opportunistic blood pressure checks with cholesterol testing.
The project comes as part of an NHS initiative to enhance risk identification and prevention of cardiovascular disease, building on the success of over 930,000 blood pressure checks conducted through approximately 6,000 pharmacies over the past year.

The feasibility study will commence in five locations across London and aims to expand the program to more locations as it progresses.
HealthTab, a turnkey point-of-care testing solution, enables quick and lab-accurate results with just a few drops of blood from a finger prick.
The system offers a test menu of up to 23 key biomarkers for managing chronic diseases, including diabetes and heart disease.
Additionally, it recently incorporated capabilities for bacterial and viral tests, such as strep and COVID-19.
