ARway.ai shifts to SaaS model to drive revenue, introduce platform to new users

ARway.ai (CSE:ARWY, OTCQB:ARWYF) is transitioning to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model and has automated portions of its sales process, the company announced.

The company is now able to offer its starter and developer user plans via self-service sign-up, which ARway believes will increase revenue, expand distribution channels and boost usage.

The move comes as ARway is gaining stream with partners, developers and enterprise clients, CEO Evan Gappelberg said.

“While ARway is gaining momentum with enterprise sales supported by a pipeline of almost $3 million in potential business we thought the timing is now to launch a SaaS offering,” Gappelberg added.

Arway has seen roughly 2,800 free active users in 2023, an increase of over 10x year-over-year, and has 35 active trials and pilots.

“The SaaS offering is going to not only provide us with substantial revenue opportunities but also introduce the ARway platform to students and developers who represent the creator community which is very important for our business,” Gappelberg said.

ARway currently offers five plans, of which the starter and developer are available through self-service sign-up.

The starter plan is a free subscription trial targeted at new users interested in learning the platform, while the developer plan is a $249 offering for users looking to build a mobile application using ARway’s software development kit or to create their own custom brand and mobile app.

The company also offers a student plan, which is the developer plan at a cheaper rate, a partner plan for agencies developing spatial experiences for their clients and a corporate plan offering a customized fully integrated solution for corporations looking to scale their spatial experiences. Partner and corporate plans range in cost from $5,000 to $250,000 in annual licensing fees,

Elsewhere, ARway announced the appointment of Anthony Pizzonia to its board of directors and audit committee. Pizzonia brings more than 30 years of experience in operating, financing, and business development, the company said. He currently serves as senior director of finance for GS1, a global standards organization.
