Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, OTCQB:HLOGF) said non-executive chairman Ian Stalker will be stepping down after five years in the role to be replaced by current director James Smith.
Stalker said he leaves with the business in “excellent health”.
“To say that this is an exciting time for the company is an understatement, we have an exceptional team in place to successfully deliver our forthcoming programme at Rukwa and proving up the potential that we believe is inherent at Tai-C,” Stalker added in a company statement.
Smith, currently a non-executive director, takes over the leading role having had more than 35 years of experience in the natural resources sector including spells at Chevron and PanOcean Energy.
Smith expressed excitement about progressing to the chairman role and said he’s looking forward to “building on Ian’s legacy”.
Stalker sat down with Proactive to discuss his time at the Tanzania helium explorer and said his departure comes with mixed emotions.
Shares in Helium One were down 0.8% on Tuesday, having opened at around 8.8p.
