Lindian Resources Ltd (ASX:LIN, OTC:LINIF) CEO Alistair Stephens tells Proactive the first deep diamond drill hole in the company's phase two program at Kangankunde in Malawi has hit an "astonishing" 854 metres of mineralisation grading 2.73% total rare earth oxides (TREO), indicating that the high-grade rare earth mineralisation continues to depth. Within this is an intersection of 554.6 metres at 2.52% TREO from 351 metres, demonstrating consistent mineralisation and high grades at considerable depths and over remarkably broad intercepts. Mineralisation was found from the beginning to the end of the drill hole and the western boundary of the mineralisation was extended 100 metres westward. These results will be included in the upcoming maiden mineral resource estimate, set to be released in the coming days.
