Battery Metals

Metals One makes solid stock market debut

Metals One PLC (AIM:MET1) made a solid stock market debut, with shares rising to a 5% premium to the issue price in the first hour of trading on AIM.

The company, which has raised £2.2mln as part of its IPO, is advancing battery metal projects at brownfield sites in Finland and Norway.

The Finland project, Black Schist, holds significant exploration potential, adjacent to Europe's largest operating nickel mine, Talvivaara.

In Norway, the brownfield Råna Project offers promising nickel-copper-cobalt mineralisation potential.

Both projects are strategically positioned to supply Europe's major electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers and battery makers. Furthermore, battery metals are in high demand due to the global push for decarbonization, particularly in the transportation sector.

Europe's EV adoption is driving up the value of these metals, making their exploration and production crucial for sustainable supply chains.

In early trade, the shares were changing hands for 5.25p each.
