Eskay Mining technical advisor Dr Quinton Hennigh joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the company's 2023 exploration activities at the Consolidated Eskay Gold Project in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia. According to Hennigh, diamond drilling has already commenced at the Tarn Lake target, and a second drill is currently being mobilized to the site. Eskay Mining plans to complete up to 6,500 meters of core drilling in 2023, targeting several high-quality areas, including Maroon Cliffs, Hexigon-Mercury, Tarn Lake, Scarlet Knob, Bruce Glacier, Storie Creek, Cumberland, and TV South.
The company aims to "sharp-shoot" multiple high-quality targets as the best approach to potentially make one or more new discoveries in 2023. The funding for this extensive drilling program comes from the recent sale of five mining claims to Skeena Resources, along with Eskay Mining's existing treasury. Among the targets, two new drill locations have been identified by Simcoe Geoscience, namely the Maroon Cliffs and Hexigon-Mercury geophysical anomalies. Both of these targets display strong geophysical similarities to the nearby Eskay Creek deposit, a renowned gold-silver mine in the region. The company has been actively preparing to drill these new targets since commencing its field program in late June. The exploration efforts are part of Eskay Mining's strategy to identify new potential deposits and expand its resource base in the Golden Triangle, a highly prospective area known for its mineral wealth.
