OptionsDesk broker Richard Perry speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive at the end of a busy week that was dominated by earnings information from some big names as well as interest rate calls from the US and Europe.
Perry says the week has been notable for strong earnings reports from tech giants like Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC). Additionally, central banks, including the FOMC and ECB, made interest rate decisions in line with market expectations.
Intel released some positive Q2 data, and its share pirce rose on the week. Perry reveals which options trades would have helped traders make the most out of Intel's numbers before going on to talk about what he expects next from the FTSE 100. London's blue chip index rose on the week but has found a ceiling at around the 7700 level.
