B&M European Value Retail SA (LSE:BME) has announced that its group trading director Bobby Arora will be granted millions in bonuses in a bid to keep him at the company.
A maximum of £16mln will be given to Arora over the next three years over and above his remuneration package subject to a series of financial and performance factors, B&M said.
This will aim to ensure he stays at the company until “at least” March 2026, with Arora having missed out on previous incentives due to not being an executive director on the company's board.
“Bobby has played an instrumental role in developing the B&M customer proposition and delivering the company's long-term growth and profitability,” the company commented.
“This retention package will ensure that B&M continues to have a strong leadership team in place [and] will enable the company to offer customers exceptional value for money and deliver long-term value to all shareholders," it added.
Arora became B&M’s trading director in 2005, having sat on the board of Lambert Howarth Group and co-founded Orient Sourcing Services.
