Eskay Mining Corp (TSX-V:ESK, OTCQX:ESKYF) has determined new high-priority drill targets and begun its 2023 diamond drill campaign at its Consolidated Eskay Gold project in British Columbia, the company announced.
The campaign is primarily targeting precious metal-rich volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits, the company said.
Fieldwork conducted this month has delivered four high-value drill targets, in addition to two targets previously announced in May. The targets all display strong geophysical similarities to the nearby Eskay Creek deposit.
Diamond drilling began at the first target, Tam Lake, last week, and a second drill is currently being mobilized to the site, the company said. The plan is to complete up to 6,500 meters of core drilling in 2023.
Eskay Mining has taken the approach of “sharp-shooting” multiple high-quality targets in the hope of making one or more new discoveries this year.
Targets to be tested include Maroon Cliffs, Hexigon-Mercury, Tarn Lake, Scarlet Knob, Bruce Glacier, Storie Creek, Cumberland and TV South. A breakdown of each target can be found here.
