Dish Network (NASDAQ:DISH)'s Boost Infinite wireless carrier said it will start selling its Infinite Unlimited wireless postpaid plan on Amazon, with an offer of unlimited mobile services to Prime customers for a fixed price of $25 a month.
In a statement, Boost Infinite said it will sell its Infinite Unlimited SIM kit through Amazon’s US store, and Prime members will get 20% off the list price of $25, as well as a $25 credit towards their first month of service.
Amazon currently sells wireless services from prepaid providers like Cricket (AT&T), Simple Mobile and Tracfone (VZ) where the online marketplace potentially takes a cut of the economics.
"Amazon is the perfect place to offer this Boost Infinite exclusive deal, making it easy for Prime members to purchase our SIM kit online, with an exclusive 20% discount, and activate their postpaid wireless service without setting foot in a store," Boost Infinite head Jeremy McCarty said in a statement.
"It's a different approach to wireless, elevating the customer experience and keeping things simple.”
After rising in pre-market trading Dish Network (NASDAQ:DISH)’s shares were down 6% at $7.26 by late morning in New York.
The shares have gained about 17% since the Wall Street Journal first reported the potential tie-up in late May.
