West Wits Mining welcomes DHEM survey confirming gold potential of two conductive plates at Mt Cecelia

West Wits Mining Ltd (ASX:WWI, OTCQB:WMWWF) has welcomed exploration progress by joint venture (JV) partner Rio Tinto Exploration Pty Limited, with the successful completion of a down-hole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey at the SGC_1 target of the Mt Cecelia Gold Project in Western Australia.

The survey was conducted over three reverse circulation (RC) holes at the farm-in project, which previously intersected gold mineralisation and sulphides, confirming the presence of two conductive plates.

No unexpected conductors were found outside the drilling holes, indicating that there were no missed targets.

The results do suggest the potential for extending the current mineralised footprint, however.

Follow-up drilling to come

“We are pleased with the successful completion of the DHEM survey at the Mt Cecelia Project,” West Wits Mining chair Michael Quinert said.

“The identification of potential extensions in the modelled plates provides encouragement for potential follow-up drilling at the project and we look forward to the continuation of the 2023 field season at Mt Cecelia."

WWI is considering a follow-up diamond drilling campaign for Cecelia in the third or fourth quarter of this year, which would provide more clarity around the character and continuity of the mineralisation observed on the project.

If the program does go ahead, it will focus on the interpreted conductors at SGC_1, using existing heritage-cleared areas of the tenure.
