Trillion Energy International shares rise on strategic partnership with natural gas company

Trillion Energy International Inc. (CSE:TCF, OTCQB:TRLEF) announced it has entered into an agreement with a global energy trading company to explore strategic energy opportunities in Bulgaria and Türkiye.

Trillion said that the parties have signed a non-disclosure agreement to share information on a confidential basis regarding potential new business opportunities.

The aim is to advance Trillion’s 397-square-kilometre Vranino license block in Bulgaria, which has coal bed methane natural gas exploration potential, as well as opportunities in Türkiye.

Trillion noted that the natural gas trading company had 2022 revenue exceeding US$100 billion and is involved in buying, distributing, and selling natural gas.

The partnership brings opportunities to gain access to pipeline infrastructure to transport gas in the region, with the implementation of the interconnector Greece-Bulgaria and expanded infrastructure in Turkiye and Bulgaria, Trillion said in a statement.

Shares of Trillion rose 2.8% to C$0.37 on the news.

Trillion is focused on natural gas production for Europe and Türkiye with natural gas assets in Türkiye and Bulgaria.
