AMTE Power slumped almost 50% as it warned its financing situation has become critical with a solution needed within days.
Active discussions continue with existing and potential investors, said the battery specialist, but there is no certainty of more funding in which case administration is ever more likely.
In the event that the company is put into administration, trading of its shares on AIM would be suspended with immediate effect, said the statement.
Accordingly, should the company be unable to secure additional funding, the prospects for recovery of value, if any, by shareholders would be remote.
Shares dropped 4p to 4.25p.
