Technology solutions company RemSense Technologies Ltd (ASX:REM) has secured a contract from Woodside Energy Ltd to deploy its cutting-edge virtualplant technology to create a photogrammic digital twin of one of their floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels.
This contract, valued at A$245,000, includes operational data capture and a software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreement for an initial one-year period.
The project is set to kick off early next month, marking RemSense's second successful venture into the seagoing vessel domain and demonstrating the widespread applicability of virtualplant.
In good shape
“RemSense continues to expand virtualplant both with existing and new customers,” RemSense managing director Steve Brown said.
“This is our second seagoing vessel reinforcing virtualplant’s wide application base.
“RemSense is at an inflection point and is in a far better place to secure our next sale opportunities than one year ago.”
Digital twinning
Virtualplant is a photographic asset visualisation platform that enables assets to be viewed remotely from anywhere, at any time and from any device.
It combines artificial intelligence and virtual reality to create a visual digital twin that can integrate with a client’s business operations and asset management systems.
The platform supports the ongoing monitoring, operational control, induction and training, auditing, planning, capital upgrades, maintenance and shutdowns for staff, contractors and suppliers.
