Ariana Resources jumped 13 % as it confirmed construction work had resumed at the Tavsan mine in Turkey after a court ruling in favour of partner and operator Zenit.
Work at the project had been halted while the Administrative court in Kütahya considered environmental concerns raised in the local community.
Kerim Semer, Ariana’s, managing director, said earlier in the year that subject to a favourable ruling around this time the delay would mean first gold pour from Tavsan would now be in the first half of 2024.
