Metal Energy adds to portfolio acquiring additional land at SourceRock Project

Metal Energy adds to portfolio acquiring additional land at SourceRock Project

Metal Energy Corp CEO James Sykes joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share exciting news about the company's additional claim acquisitions adjacent to the SourceRock project. These new mining claims hold significant potential for the company's operations. Sykes explained that these mining claims were previously drilled in 2006, revealing the presence of significant saline water flow from depths of 184.7 to 202.39 meters. Additionally, the drilling results indicated the presence of halite cubes, sedimentary cements, and beds, with halite precipitating from the waters as the core dried between depths of 528.52 to 582.5 meters. This observation of halite precipitation suggests that the saline fluids in the area are supersaturated with high concentrations of total dissolved solids (TDS), which often correlate with high lithium concentrations.

Sykes told Proactive with the acquisition of these adjacent claims, Metals Energy now holds a dominant land position covering the deepest parts of the basin. The presence of pathfinder elements and supporting documents further supports the likelihood of high lithium concentrations in the area. The SourceRock project is already permitted for drilling, and the company believes that a few strategically placed drill holes can help assess the geologic validity of their thesis. The additional claim acquisitions and the potential for high lithium concentrations further strengthen Metals Energy's position in the lithium exploration and development sector. The company's focus on expanding its land position and conducting targeted drilling activities reflects its commitment to unlocking the potential of the SourceRock project and capitalizing on the growing demand for lithium.
