Avicanna Executive Vice President of Medical Affairs Dr. Karolina Urban joins Natalie Stoberman from the Proactive newsroom to share details of its sponsorship with the Canadian Consortium for the investigation of cannabinoids (CCIC) to promote its cannabis syllabus among healthcare providers in Canada.
Dr. Urban says Avicanna is offering healthcare providers the opportunity to access the syllabus for free in an effort to educate them about medical cannabis and end the stigma associated with its use in healthcare. The launch of Avicanna's medical portal, MyMedi.ca, further supports this initiative by providing a platform for the medical community to come together and facilitate the prescription process for medical cannabis.
