Domino's Pizza Group PLC (LSE:DOM) has appointed Andrew Rennie as its new chief executive officer, who will take over as the company's new boss in London next month.
Rennie joins the London-listed franchise after previously working in leadership roles at Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, the Australian-listed franchise of the chain.
During his time at the Australian company, the market capitalisation of the group jumped from A$132mln to A$5.85bln, marking an annualised return of around 30%.
Chairman Matt Shattock said: “Andrew understands the power and potential of the Domino’s brand as well as anyone in the business globally.
“He is an energetic and entrepreneurial leader with an incredible track record of delivering growth in Domino’s businesses around the world.”
Elias Diaz Sese, the company’s current interim CEO, will step down from his role on 7 August but will remain a non-executive director at the firm.
“I'd like to thank Elias for his extraordinary commitment… his drive and passion for the business and its people have ensured that Domino’s has accelerated the implementation of our strategy and created a stronger platform,” Shattock added.
Shares in Domino's Pizza Group have struggled post-Covid, dropping by more than 30% since the start of 2022.
However, Thursday’s news has helped lift shares by over 5%, having opened at just under 300p.
