Powerhouse Energy shares improved by 5% as it seemingly took a major step towards getting European patent protection for its waste-to-gas technology.
European authorities have allowed its patent application, the group said, paving the way for full patent status for a key part of the process to convert waste materials into syngas.
A patent would also apply to the UK and Ireland, said the AIM-listed group, which added it is talking to numerous interested parties from a variety of sectors about using the process.
Shares rose 0.03p to 0.46p.
