Kim Kardashian attempting to buy back stake in SKKN beauty from Coty: report

Kim Kardashian is in talks to buy back a minority stake in her beauty company SKKN from Coty, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Per the report, which cited sources with knowledge of the matter, the reality television star and entrepreneur wants to repurchase the 20% stake in an effort to expand SKKN’s beauty categories.

The value of the stake has not been determined and there is no guarantee any sale would go ahead, the WSJ noted in its report.

Coty acquired its minority stake in SKKN for $200 million in June 2020, valuing the brand at $1 billion.

Shares of the beauty and perfume company rose on the news Tuesday but pared their gains on Wednesday, trading at US$12.70.
