Falcon Gold Corp (TSX-V:FG, OTC:FGLDF) has appointed experienced mining engineer Aaron Kemp to its board of directors.
The company's shares rose following the announcement, up 9.1% at C$0.06 at the market close on Wednesday.
The junior resource company said Kemp has an impressive track record in the mining sector, particularly in Latin American jurisdictions, adding his expertise spans various aspects of mine engineering roles.
Kemp is currently serving as an Advanced Mine Specialist for CODELCO, a state-owned copper mining company based in Santiago, Chile.
“We are confident that Mr Kemp's expertise will play a pivotal role in advancing our operations, expanding our footprint, and unlocking the full potential of our gold exploration and production efforts,” Falcon Gold CEO Karim Rayani said.
"His wealth of experience in mine engineering, combined with his deep understanding of Latin American jurisdictions, will be invaluable to our company's growth strategy.”
Kemp said he was honored to join Falcon Gold’s board and contribute to the company’s exploration and development plans.
