Boeing delivered 60 aircraft during the month of June, up from 50 in May and marking its best month for deliveries since March, as the aerospace manufacturer is trying to ramp up its output to meet demand for planes following a series of production issues.
In the year-to-date, Boeing has delivered 266 aircraft, including 216 737 MAX planes and 31 787 Dreamliners.
However, Boeing failed to outperform its European rival Airbus who delivered 72 aircraft to 48 customers in June, mostly A321neo and A320neo models.
Airbus has delivered 316 planes to 73 customers so far in 2023.
Boeing will report its second quarter earnings on Wednesday, July 26, with investors looking for an update on the manufacturer’s plans to accelerate the production of its 737 MAX planes and 787 Dreamliners.
Boeing shares added 1.4% at US$216.30 on Tuesday afternoon.
