WANdisco, the data activation platform, confirmed a one-year contract with FordDirect for the purchase of a Data Mitigator worth US$7,860.
“Though small in initial value, this is the first contract the company has signed with FordDirect and has been secured via the company’s partnership with Microsoft,” according to a statement.
FordDirect is a joint venture between the Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) and its franchise dealers, with the Data Mitigator used to support the organisation’s data modernisation programme.
WANdisco said it will continue to share news of new contracts and renewals with investors after it was rocked by a potential inflated sales fraud scam, which resulted in the laying off of a third of its staff and the departure of both its chief executive and finance head.
Today’s announcement follows quickly on the heels of a £200,000 renewal with Tesco confirmed yesterday, where WANDisco will continue to offer software support and maintenance.
