After a third quarter earnings beat driven by the strong performance of its cloud division, investors will be hoping Microsoft can again top expectations when it reports its fourth quarter and full-year fiscal 2023 earnings on Tuesday, July 25.
Analysts, on average, expect the company to report fourth quarter revenue of $55.36 billion and earnings per share (EPS) of $2.54, according to Zacks Consensus Estimate.
This would represent a 6.7% and 13.9% jump, respectively, over fiscal 4Q 2022’s revenue of $51.9 billion and EPS of $2.23.
Microsoft's chief financial officer Amy Hood guided revenue for the quarter ranging between $54.85 billion and $55.85 billion during a conference call following the company’s 3Q results in April.
For fiscal 2023, analysts have forecast revenue of $211.08 billion and EPS of $9.65.
This would mark a 6.5% improvement over fiscal 2022’s revenue of $198.3 billion, while EPS would be up 4.8% from $9.21 per share.
Microsoft shares traded hands at US$344.78 on Monday afternoon.
