Gratomic Inc. (TSX-V:GRAT, OTCQX:CBULF) has announced the appointments of Bruno Baillavoine as executive chair of its board of directors and Stephen Woodhead as its chief financial officer (CFO).
The company said Woodhead, who has served as Gratomic’s executive vice president, finance, since March 2021, will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Rodger Roden.
“Having Bruno in an executive position will give me more time to focus on my role as CEO,” Gratomic CEO Arno Brand said in a statement.
“This separation of duties will allow us to streamline the day-to-day operations within the company, providing everyone more time to focus on various important business items simultaneously,” he added.
Gratomic noted that Baillavoine was originally appointed as chair of its board on February 16, 2023, as an independent director.
As well, the company reported that all matters on the agenda at the Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders held on July 6, 2023, were approved by at least a 97% majority of the shares voted at the meeting.
It added that it will be initiating a search for up to two additional independent directors to enhance the corporate governance of Gratomic.
Gratomic is a multinational company with projects in Namibia, Brazil, and Canada. It is focused on becoming a leading global graphite supplier and it aims to secure a strong position in the electric vehicle battery supply chain.
