RM Infrastructure Income PLC (LSE:RMII) said shareholders backed its investment strategy in a recent consultation but were concerned over the small size of the company, which they believe is affecting liquidity and its ability to grow.
As a result of the consultation, RMII has determined that reducing the size of the company further through a partial exit opportunity would only exacerbate these challenges.
An approach has been received for a merger with another business but with no details as yet, while two other indications of interest are at a very early stage.
RMII’s statement concluded: “The board remains conscious of the size of the company, the discount to which its shares trade and the need to maximise shareholder value and the board expects to put forward proposals regarding the future of the company as soon as possible.”
