Cornish Metals confirms potential of South Crofty tin project

Cornish Metals Inc (AIM:CUSN, TSX-V:CUSN, OTC:SBWFF) has identified further high-grade tin mineralisation that it says "serves to confirm and add further confidence to the mineral resource estimate" for its flagship South Crofty Project in Cornwall.

The highest tin percentage (4.66%) was found in a 1.46-metre true thickness sample from the Roskear Lode.

The No. 4 Lode and No. 8 Lode also yielded significant tin percentages, up to 3.24% and 1.80%, respectively, in sample lengths varying between 0.89 to 2.44 metres.

"On a global perspective these are high-grade tin assay results, but they reflect typical widths and grades of the tin mineralisation we have encountered and mined historically at South Crofty and serve to confirm and add further confidence to the mineral resource estimate we have for the No. 4, No. 8, and Roskear B Lodes,” said chief executive Richard Williams.

Cornish Metals is expecting metallurgical data from these areas sometime this quarter.

Included in the package will be diluted head grades, ore sorting amenability, gravity release and paste backfill studies.

The drill programme consisted of 14 parent and daughter holes targeting No. 4 and No. 8 Lodes and the same number directed at the Roskear Lode.
