Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE) said its Pitfield Project has the “potential to be one of the largest primary titanium minerals sources discovered globally.”
New data from its high-grade titanium project in Western Australia has confirmed titanium oxide enrichment over the entire 40 kilometre length of the magnetic anomaly, the company noted.
In a statement, the AIM quoted exploration and development company said an area of high-grade titanium oxide (TiO2) has been confirmed in the immediate vicinity of Mountain Scratch, as well as an additional high-grade area east of the historical Baxter’s Mine.
Drilling so far has confirmed high titanium oxide, with planning underway for a second campaign.
Empire said it remains well funded for the next phase of exploration, with cash of roughly £1.8mln as reported on 19 June 2023.
"We are extremely excited by the economic potential of this discovery and are 100% focused on building on our initial success through further drilling to confirm the extent of this giant TiO2 enriched mineral system,” said Empire managing director Shaun Bunn.
