CentralNic increases share buyback programme to £34mln

CentralNic Group PLC (AIM:CNIC) has increased its share buyback programme by £30mln to a maximum of £34mln.

Shareholders granted the internet domain name and marketing company permission to buy up to 10% of the share capital at the AGM in April.

In a statement, the company said: "The board considers the buyback programme to be in the best interests of all shareholders, given the cash-generative nature of the business.

"It reflects the group's renewed capital allocation policy geared towards greater returns to shareholders."

On Monday, CentralNic bought back around £1.6mln worth of shares, which opened around 3.5% higher at 120p on Monday morning.
