Redx Pharma PLC (AIM:REDX) has announced that non-executive director Thomas Burt will retire from its board later this year.
Burt, who represents major shareholder Sofinnova Crossover, will step down on September 1, with Joe Anderson nominated to take his place, the biotechnology company said on Monday.
“I would like to thank Tom for his insightful contribution over the last three years as we have matured into a clinical-stage company,” Redx chair Jane Griffiths said.
“We look forward to continuing to work with Sofinnova as one of our major shareholders,” she added.
Sofinnova’s new director nominee, Anderson has been chief executive at venture capital firm Arix Bioscience PLC (LSE:ARIX), a partner at investor Abingworth LLP, alongside working in strategy and analysis elsewhere.
It is “anticipated” that Anderson will succeed Burt, Redx continued, subject to “due diligence and other appointment processes”.
