UK venture capitalist raises £5mln for health start-up

Eileen Burbidge, a prominent British venture capitalist, raised £5mln for her health service start-up in a fresh round of fundraising.

Fertifa provides corporations with fertility and sexual health services for their employees and already has clients including Aviva, Meta, Centrica and Virgin.

In the last year, it processed over £1.5mln in reimbursements for employees of companies that use the service.

Now investors like Notion Capital and Triple Point Ventures have gotten involved with the service.

Burbidge said: “Providing our patients with well-being support funded by their workplaces brings such peace of mind for them.

“There is such an obvious commercial business case to employee wellbeing, particularly when it relates to reproductive health journeys.”
