Race Oncology Ltd (ASX:RAC) has appointed Dr Peter Smith as an independent non-executive director following the resignation of Daniel Sharp, who stepped down to pursue other personal and professional interests.

Broad healthcare industry experience
Dr Smith brings more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry to the board table, having maintained a strong focus on therapeutics and especially oncology during his career.
He is currently CEO of private company Myrio Therapeutics (formerly Affinity Bio.) Before joining Myrio, he was CEO of publicly listed Australian companies Alchemia and AMRAD (later acquired by CSL).
He was also co-founder and CEO of Onyvax Ltd, a cancer immune-therapy company based in London before he made his move to Australia.
