Coinsilium responds to challenging 2022 with renewed Web3 optimism

Coinsilium Group Ltd (AQSE:COIN, OTCQB:CINGF), a leading Web3 investor and advisor, continues to push forward despite a challenging year marked by volatile crypto markets and a global industry downturn, the company's executives shared in a recent interview with Proactive.

Chief finance officer Ben Proffitt painted an optimistic picture, highlighting the company's strong balance sheet and a promising cash position of nearly £700,000, which comfortably covers over a year of operations.

Proffitt emphasised the importance of viewing the company's loss of £2mln against the backdrop of a highly volatile year for cryptocurrencies.

The majority of this figure, around £1.6mln, is due to the fair value adjustments or impairments made to their crypto assets due to market fluctuations.

He also pointed out that their administrative costs were substantially reduced by 45% in 2022, or 10% when excluding the effects of share-based payments.

Furthermore, executive chairman Malcolm Palle spoke of the relief and renewed optimism as the crypto market started showing recovery signs at the beginning of 2023.

He noted the importance of the cyclical nature of the blockchain and crypto industry, influenced by adoption rates, market sentiment, and regulatory changes.

Palle is particularly excited about the convergence of blockchain technology with artificial intelligence, terming it "closed AI".

The company is actively engaging in projects and investments that blend these two powerful technologies, aiming to improve efficiency and control in various sectors, including digital banking and sustainable infrastructure finance.

Despite the challenges of 2022, Coinsilium remains confident in its portfolio and growth prospects, and is particularly bullish about the potential of Web3 social media.

As the company continues to build and grow, Palle encouraged investors to keep a keen eye on the development of their projects, particularly the SILTA sustainable infrastructure finance platform and the Yellow Network project.

The year ahead promises further growth and advancement in the Web3 space, offering opportunities for retail investors interested in this cutting-edge technology, he said.
