Good morning from London, where the FTSE 100 has hit three-month lows after an unsettling weekend over in Russia and some negative news from right here in the UK as well.
BAE systems, Ocado and Barclays are the biggest fallers so far this morning, and cinema chain Cineworld has laid out plans to enter administration in a last-ditch bid for survival after filing for bankruptcy in back in September.
Some more positives noises from Aston Martin who have unveiled a collaboration with US-listed Lucid Group, which will see the pair join forces to create ‘ultra-luxury’ electric vehicles.
Primark owner Associated British Foods also showed optimism this morning as it lifted guidance for the year after reporting a 16% jump in third-quarter sales.
Elsewhere, prospective UK-based battery maker British Volt faced another hit, after Australian tax police raided the offices of the company’s rescuer over the weekend.
And in small caps, Creo Medical shares jumped as the company reported the first use of its speedboat tech for an upper gastrointestinal procedure in Europe.
