First Phosphate Corp CEO John Passalacqua joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has taken another step forward with the announcement it has completed the commissioning of a pilot plant to produce phosphate concentrate to be used in the manufacture of lithium iron phosphate cathode active material for the LFP battery industry in North America.
Passalacqua telling Proactive the plant is located inside the facilities of SGS Canada in Quebec City and will use fully solventless, environmentally friendly extraction methods. This sample will be sent to partners and potential customers for evaluation, as First Phosphate aims to become a trusted supplier of battery-grade phosphoric acid for LFP battery production. The company's commitment to meeting milestones ahead of time, they say, demonstrates their focus on building trust and executing their plans efficiently in the capital markets.
