NV Gold Corporation (TSX-V:NVX, OTC:NVGLF) said it has completed a 720-meter drilling program on its 100%-owned Triple T Project in Nevada as it continues to work to expand and confirm mineralization first identified in wide-spaced drilling in 2009.
The company said the reverse circulation drilling was conducted in 14 shallow drill holes in three target areas and intersected several near-surface mineralized quartz veins.
The North Target area at the project now measures 200 by 500 meters and remains open to the north and south as well as down-dip to the east, NV Gold added.
"The extent of mineralization observed in this program reinforces the potential scale of the gold system at Triple T,” NV Gold chairman John Watson said in a statement.
“We have identified a low-angle thrust plane as a possible control of mineralization and now can envision the potential of additional, down-faulted extensions of the system to the east. Assay results are expected to be returned by early August.”
The company said it plans to amend its current drill permit to enlarge the program to test targets to the north and east as budgets permit.
The Triple T project comprises 41 claims and is located in the Humboldt Range 9 kilometers east of the Rochester silver-gold operation and 42 kilometers southeast of the Florida Canyon gold mine.
NV Gold has a stated vision of seeking to discover North America’s next multimillion-ounce gold resource through focused exploration activities in Nevada.
