Southern Gold Ltd (ASX:SAU) managing director Robert Smillie chats to Proactive after uncovering rare earths at the Jangnam Project in South Korea. SAU is honing in on a 700-metre carbonatite zone, where seven samples returned more than 1% total rare earth oxides (TREO) and up to 22% magnetic rare earths. Smillie says the early results are “outstanding” and the team will focus on defining and refining the rare earths discovery in the weeks ahead.
