Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has resumed dividends after a three-year hiatus as it makes progress on its three-year financial plan.
The airline declared a quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share, saying the resumption of its quarterly payouts follows the suspension of the program in March 2020 as COVID-10 brought air travel to a standstill.
The company said progress on its financial plans includes over $10 billion of debt repayment over the last two years.
In April, Delta reported operating revenue of $12.8 billion and adjusted operating income of $546 million. Adjusted earnings per share amounted to $0.25 per share.
At the time, the company said it was confident in its full-year guidance for revenue growth of 15% to 20% year-over-year, earnings of $5 to $6 per share and free cash flow of over $2 billion.
It said advance bookings for summer 2023 were at a record.
The airlines’ shares were 0.8% higher at $42.13 in early Thursday trading.
