CMC Markets PLC (LSE:CMCX) executives Laurence Booth and Simon Campbell have joined the board of directors at StrikeX after CMC bought a 33% stake in the blockchain and Web3 software developer.
Booth has more than two decades of experience managing, growing and evolving executive services, and prior to CMC held roles at investment banks Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) and Citigroup, a statement from StrikeX said.
Campbell currently serves as group head of trading at CMC Markets, having served several senior roles across his 17-year span with the company, including head of quantitative analysis.
Last week, spread betting firm CMC acquired a third of StrikeX, in an acquisition it said gave it access to the latest-blockchain related products.
Speaking at the time, CMC CEO Peter Cruddas said: "This is a major strategic investment in the growing Web 3.0 technology space of which StrikeX Technologies gives us access to the very best technology and advancements.”
