There were some highs and lows in the cannabis space this week, depending on what's in your portfolio.
On Wednesday, news broke that US multistate operator Red White & Bloom Brands and distressed operator Aleafia Health plan to merge, which would result in a combined company expected to generate C$138 million in trailing distribution and retail revenue from the cannabis markets in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
On the other side, once mighty Canopy Growth Corp got the boot from the S&P/TSX Composite Index, Canada's equivalent of the S&P 500. Canopy's Toronto-listed shares ended the trading week around C$0.89.
