Avicanna CEO Aras Azadian joins Natalie Stoberman from the Proactive newsroom to discuss the company's milestone of confirming the asset purchase agreement with Shoppers Drug Mart for the acquisition of Medical Cannabis by Shoppers.
Azadian says the company will be transitioning the Medical Cannabis by Shoppers platform into the company's own MyMedi.ca for the closing date of July 31, 2023. During this transition time, Azadian says patients of Medical Cannabis by Shoppers will still able to purchase products on the Medical Cannabis by Shoppers platform until the closing of the transaction at the end of July. Then Azadian says Avicanna will launch its MyMedi.ca platform where patients can make purchases through MyMedi.ca.
