Scancell Holdings PLC (AIM:SCLP, OTC:SCNLF), which is developing groundbreaking immunotherapies, is set to showcase early promising results from its ModiFY phase I/II cancer vaccine clinical trial at the 2023 American Society of Clinical Oncology Meeting in Chicago.
Dr Robert Miller, the company's medical director, will detail the process and initial findings of its Modi-1 vaccine, generated by Scancell’s Moditope platform.
The vaccine, tested on four cancer types - ovarian, breast, head and neck, and renal - appears well received by patients.
In the update, investors were told trials are proceeding smoothly.
Recruitment to a third group, or cohort, receiving a low drug dose with a traditional treatment called a checkpoint inhibitor is complete. It has also enlisted the first patient in the fourth cohort of patients receiving the highest dosage of the Modi-1 vaccine combined with standard CPI therapy.
