Lightning Minerals Ltd (ASX:L1M) is mobilising its drill contractors to the Dundas Lithium Project in Western Australia for the inaugural drill program, which is expected to kick off on Monday.
This program is aimed at targeting outcropping pegmatites and lithium-rich soil anomalies within tenement E63/2001, marking a key step in the company's resource exploration efforts.
At the field, the company’s drilling will comprise 2,500 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling and 10,000 metres of aircore (AC) drilling within tenement E63/20011.
This represents a starting point for an accelerated exploration program across the Dundas project to follow up on multiple lithium in soil anomalies.

Forward plan
it is anticipated that the RC component will be undertaken first to test the continuation of the three outcropping pegmatites at depth.
After the completion of the initial RC drilling the AC program will then commence in the southeastern corner of tenement E63/2001.
The aircore program will target the lithium and rubidium anomalism previously reported and the potential extensions of pegmatites present in the south of the tenement.
If pegmatites are intersected in the AC program, a follow-up RC program will be considered a priority to accelerate exploration progress within E63/2001.
