Doubleview Gold Corp (TSX-V:DBG, OTCQB:DBLVF) reported promising assay results from its Hat project, a large alkalic copper-gold porphyry type deposit, located in northwestern British Columbia, with drilling showing strength in mineralization.
Since 2011, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based mineral resource company has explored the Hat project by channeling technical surveys and diamond drilling.
Doubleview shared assay results from six drill holes at the Hat project with H050 positioned west of the Lisle Zone intersecting the strongest mineralization with 2,240 grams per ton (g/t) cobalt over 3 meters (m). Meanwhile, drill hole H045 intersected one of the longest and strongest sections of mineralization with 459m at 0.91% copper equivalent (CuEq) grade.
In a statement, Doubleview CEO Farshad Shirvani said: "Recent drilling exploration has shown continuity and strength of mineralization in the Lisle deposit, although boundaries in all directions are not yet known.”
“2023 is crucial for the development of the Hat project, as it involves metallurgical studies and the maiden resource estimation, which will provide insights into the significance of this deposit. I am delighted that we have one of the largest and potentially viable scandium and copper deposits in the Western Hemisphere."
The company’s Hat Property surveys and drilling have largely focused on the Lisle copper-gold-cobalt-scandium mineral zone and the principal minerals are chalcopyrite, pyrite and magnetite hosted in volcaniclastic formations.
Doubleview said that Lisle Zone has indicated dimensions of around 2.7 km by 1.7 km and is still being delimited laterally and at depth.
Meanwhile, H045 intercepted 315.1m with 0.81% Cu Eq from 66m depth, including 141m with 0.97% Cu Eq and along with H046 it expanded the West Lisle area, while H047 extended an area of strong mineralization north-northeast of the Main Lisle Zone that was discovered by drilling in 2022. It intercepted 343.6m with 0.91% CuEq from surface, including 120.9m with 1.05% CuEq grade.
In sharing assay data from major intercepts, Doubleview noted that three other holes — H049, H050 and H051 — have added “significantly” to the west side of the Main Lisle Zone. In fact, H051 intercepted 313.4m with 0.96% Cu Eq from near surface, including 44.8m with 1.30% Cu Eq.
Doubleview is focused on the acquisition and exploration of gold, copper and silver properties and uses advanced exploration techniques.
